THE ANIMALS PARADISE (16-07-2010)

There are the wines, the historical heritage and the fauna. It is one of the richnesses of the estate. Its location, its preserved environment and its flora have made possible the settlement and the blossoming of numerous species of the Mediterranean fauna , at a few kilometers from the city. There are those flying and singing in the day or in the night: sparrows, starlings, swallows, tits, greenfinches, goldfinches, canaries, great tits, green woodpeckers, hoopoes, blackbirds, wood pigeons, turtledoves, doves and birds of prey: hawks kestrel tawny owls and little owls. Those swimming or living around the lake: carps and goldfishes, frogs, ducks mallards, the tortoise and a magnificent grey heron coming from time to time. There are those living on rockeries or running in the vineyard : green lizards, snakes, partridges, rabbits, hares and sometimes wild boars.
And then there are those who colonized the old acacia in the park: three swarms of bees, one of them is particularly impressive by its size.
